Q. How do I enter?

A. You enter by signing up online. After signing up, you will receive an email within 24 hours confirming your entry and containing information with how to submit your pledges/donations/entry fee online. Your entry fee (minimum $200) must be submitted in order to confirm your registration.

If you have not recieved confirmation of your entry contact us to make sure.

Q. I am under 19 years of age, but I want to play, can I?

A. Unfortunately, no, not in our first event. Our first event is being held at a licensed facility that can not admit minors. The good news is that we plan to have more than one Rock4theKids event, and our next event should be accessible for all ages.

Q. How can my company be a part of Rock4TheKids?

A. Put in a team! We love the idea of corporate team. If you want to do more, we are looking for in-kind sponsorship for the following:

• Prizes (large and small) for the following categories: Winning band, Best costumes, Most funds raised, Most enthusiastic fan, Best solo, Best drummer, best vocal
• Audio/Visual Support
• Media Partnerships

Corporate Sponsors will have the opportunity to include promotional materials in gift bags, have logos on the event website, Facebook page and on-site, as well as promotional tables at the event. Contact us for more information on how you can get involved.

Q. Do I have to donate online? Can I bring cash to the event?

A. We greatly prefer online donation, and it makes it easier for you to get tax receipts as well as getting pledges for your band. Our donations are done via the SickKids Foundation site directly, which is very safe, secure and easy to use. If donating online won’t work for you, contact us and we can work something out.

Q. Our band’s best song is downloadable content – why can’t we play it at your event?

A. It’s nothing personal, one of our favourite songs is Still Alive, but there are just too many songs for us to be prepared to judge if we include them all. Maybe in future events.

Q. Why are you doing this with Rock Band™ and not another game of it’s kind?

A. The wonderful people at Harmonix™ and MTV Games™  gave us permission to use the Rock Band™  game and name to support SickKids. As you can see, they’ve got a history of helping sick children in hospital.
